Artist of the week: Sia
In contrast to youngsters teen idols Bars & Melody that will expectedly turn
on the almost grown generation, Australian singer-songwriter Sia has to her credit a
major musical career even if she never managed to top the charts. But here she
comes with a new album from which the first single Chandelier has just been a worldwide
hit. It is now followed by the release of another single, Burning the Pages
that looks very promising even if the critics don’t consider it as brilliant as Chandelier.
As catchy by her lyrics as by her musical arrangements, Sia excels nevertheless in this
title by her powerful voice and the dubbing effects she intersperses the
tune. The chorus ending the song are also a little extra in good taste.
